Alan Jackson, Newnan’s famous son and country music star, has opened a specialty Christmas decoration store in downtown Newnan this holiday season.

As the Jackson family has consolidated from five homes to two, several tractor-trailer trucks full of Christmas decorations and memorabilia are now for sale at the former Panoply retail location on the northeast corner of Greenville and Spring streets in downtown Newnan.

Items ranging from a Christmas bow for $1 dollar all the way to an illuminated, waving Santa Claus for $350 will be available for the month of December and until all of the seasonal merchandise is gone.

Following the sale of the Jacksons’ Christmas items, the store will then be stocking surplus home furniture and decor.

All items have come directly out of the Jackson homes with the exception of t-shirts and memorabilia. Many items specify from which of the Jackson homes they were found and where the item was located inside of the home.

Items can be authenticated by taking them across the street to Grannie Fannie’s to be signed by Carol Jackson Glover, the country music legend’s sister.

The Jackson Christmas store will be open Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
