Newnan Development Authority launches website

The Development Authority of the City of Newnan has launched its new website www.developnewnan.org .

“The city Development Authority is eager to add another recruitment tool to its compliment of programs and initiatives designed to assist the City of Newnan with the successful recruitment of high-quality sustainable development that supports a diversified tax base,” said city Business Development Director Hasco Craver in a prepared release Thursday.

The Development Authority of the City of Newnan, created in 1997, operates to promote and further develop trade, commerce, industry and employment opportunities within the City of Newnan. The Development Authority has jurisdictional influence throughout the entirety of the city and may serve as a catalytic conduit to initiate, induce and encourage economic development projects.

In proactively supporting the efforts of Craver and the city’s Business Development Department, the Development Authority agreed to create an outward-focused recruitment tool that will be used to market economic development opportunities in the following targeted industry clusters: Healthcare Services, Technology, Tourism/Hospitality, Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses, Higher Education, Research and Development, Destination and Neighborhood Retail and Office/Professional.

The website — www.developnewnan.org — was designed to appeal to current and prospective property owners, business owners, brokers, local and state agencies and other key stakeholders interested in the development and redevelopment of economic development opportunities within the city limits of Newnan.
