MainStreet Newnan’s popular Market Days on the Square returns Saturday.

Vendors showcase homemade, homegrown, or handmade items to include fresh food, pottery, jewelry, arts and crafts, sweet-smelling soaps and lotions, children’s clothing, locally-grown produce and honey, pet accessories, jams, jellies, fresh-squeezed lemonade, salsas and much more.

In addition, Pickin’ on the Square, a gathering of acoustic players, will be setting up adjacent to the courthouse steps and are certain to offer the wonderful sounds of bluegrass, gospel and many other well-loved selections for those in attendance.

“We are excited about the upcoming season; we have new vendors as well as vendors from years past,” says JoAnn Gentry, Main Street manager.

“Market Day is a great opportunity for families to take advantage of what their downtown offers. The weather is promising and we encourage the community to come shop and enjoy downtown for the day. With over 50 vendors participating there will be something for everyone.”

Free public parking is available along downtown streets and in several city off-street lots located on the corner of LaGrange and Spring streets, First Avenue and Spring Street, East Broad Street near Perry Street and East Washington Street and Perry Street.

Market Days are open to the public and there is no admission charge. It is held the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., April through December. As with all MainStreet events, they will be held rain or shine.

If you are interested in the market or have questions, contact the MainStreet office at 770-253-8283 or visit www.mainstreetnewnan.com .
