David G. Reynolds has joined the Josey, Young & Brady team of real estate professionals.
Reynolds was born and raised in Newnan, where he attended Newnan public schools and graduated from the University of West Georgia. After being involved for more than 30 years with his family’s four generation furniture business, Reynolds received his real estate license in 1997.
Reynolds has practiced real estate for 15 years with a focus on residential sales. He has an extensive knowledge of the environs and history of Newnan, Coweta County and neighboring areas.
Reynolds is married to Eloise Askew Reynolds of Newnan and they have three children and two grandchildren.
Josey, Young & Brady has real estate specialists working in residential home sales, land and farm sales and commercial leasing and sales in Newnan, Coweta County and the Southern Crescent market areas.

BJ’s donates $43,200 to Winship Cancer Institute

The BJ’s Charitable Foundation donated $43,200 to the Emory Winship Cancer Institute’s Glen Family Breast Program.

The money was raised through the sale of specially-marked merchandise sold at BJ’s Membership Clubs during the company’s “BJ’s Power of Pink” initiative.

Winship’s Glen Family Breast Program is one of 13 National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers to receive a donation in the states where BJ’s Clubs are located.

Lizard Thicket raises $10,932 for The Children’s Village

Lizard Thicket hosted Fashion With Compassion, a fashion show fundraiser and auction, at the Wyndham in Peachtree City.

The event raised $10,932 for the boys and girls who live in the cottages at The Children’s Village at Christian City.

Lizard Thicket Founder Sheri Waynick has more than 30 years in the fashion business and loves every minute of it.

“All of our employees are actively involved in community service work and truly believe we are all in this together to ‘be the change,’” Waynick said. “We are committed to serving others.”

Christian City has been caring for abandoned and abused children in a family-centered residential setting since 1965. More than 1,000 children have called Christian City home.

Ribbon Cutting at Southern Orthopaedic Specialists

A Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting was recently held for Southern Orthopaedic Specialists, located in Ashley Park.

Vector Marketing opens Newnan office

Vector Marketing has opened a sales office in Newnan, run by district manager Andrew Freeman.

The “Southwest Atlanta” office will be used for the recruitment and training of new sales representatives as well as for team meetings where additional training and mentorship is provided. Sales representatives market Vector’s product, CUTCO Cutlery, through in-home presentations and use the sales office as home base.

As independent contractors, Vector district managers individually own their own sales offices.

Being a Vector district manager allows Freeman to be an entrepreneur while having guidance and support from corporate headquarters. Following Vector’s strict promote-from-within policy, all managers begin as sales representatives.

Delta Community CEO receives lifetime achievement award

Delta Community Credit Union president and CEO Rick Foley was recently honored by the Georgia Credit Union League. Foley was presented with the Moses. C. Davis Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award is presented at the League’s annual convention and is granted to honorees by a two-thirds majority vote from the board of directors.

Delta Community is Georgia’s largest credit union.

Delta Community also recently launched a new website. The new site includes several enhancements including more than 100 new calculators.

Four Bullard Realty agents named to International President’s Circle

Four individual sales associates/representatives with Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty have qualified to join the Coldwell Banker International President’s Circle for their performances in 2011. They include Steven Dickens of the Newnan/ Coweta County office.

“These Bullard agents demonstrated dedication to hard work and customer service, which led to their great success in 2011,” said Jim Gillespie, CEO.
