Newnan-Coweta Chamber honors Small Business of Year

Healthy Life Chiropractic was named the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year at ceremonies Tuesday morning during the monthly Early Bird breakfast forum at Central Educational Center.
Dr. Tina McKay accepted the award on behalf of her business. She thanked her staff, her husband and the community for the success of her practice.
McKay is a native of Fayette County and graduated from Fayette County High School. She went on to attend the State University of West Georgia before deciding to pursue a career in the nursing field at Georgia Perimeter College.
While attending Georgia Perimeter College, McKay was involved in an automobile accident resulting in long-term pain and problems. After she found relief from a chiropractor McKay decided study chiropractic medicine.
In June 1999, Dr. McKay graduated from Life University and soon afterward opened a practice in Sharpsburg near Thomas Crossroads.
Before the major award was presented, 10 finalists for the 2012 Small Business Award were announced. They included: Alternacare, Bedazzled, Financial Planning Group, Southern Crescent Solutions, Healthy Life Chiropractic, Lindsey’s, Inc. Realtors, PrintSource, R. DuBose Jewelers, Contemporary Catering and Georgia Pain and Spine Care.
