The Oldcastle Precast facility on Amlajack Boulevard in Shenandoah Industrial Park recently captured the company’s prestigious 2011 East Performance Cup.

The Coweta County/Newnan operation led in all categories throughout the last quarter of 2011. The Oldcastle Newnan team has committed to providing the East Performance Club a secure home for the next several years, said Gilbert Huey, operations manager. The entire Newnan management team accepted the award at a dinner in Atlanta.

Vintage Flea now Design House
The Vintage Flea shop in downtown Newnan has a new name: Design House Home and Garden.

Interior designer Kelly Goolsby purchased the store in November 2010, but only recently changed the name. “I didn’t want to change the familiar name right away,” she said. “Now, it’s time.”

“You will still find the same great personal and friendly service, wonderful variety of merchandise (some new and some reclaimed or repurposed) and, of course, our awesome consignors and their handcrafted or ‘found objects,’” she said.

Design House Home and Garden was also the name of Goolsby’s interior design business, which she has had for 10 years.

The store features design items for home and garden; consigners have space upstairs, and Goolsby’s sister, Karen, a floral designer specializing in weddings and events, also has space in the store.
