Newnan and East Coweta will play representatives from Region 1-AAAAA in the first round of the playoffs beginning next week.
But those opponents won't be determined until after tonight's games in south Georgia.
Heading into tonight's contests Colquitt County, Lowndes and Northside Warner Robins are all 5-1 in region play, followed by Warner Robins 4-2 and Valdosta 3-3.
Here are all the possibilities according to Wayne Grandy of the Moultrie Observer:
If Colquitt beats Northside, Lowndes beats Warner Robins and Valdosta beats Houston, Lowndes finishes first, Colquitt second, Northside third and Valdosta fourth.
If Colquitt beats Northside, Warner Robins beats Lowndes and Valdosta beats Houston, Colquitt finishes first, Warner Robins second, Northside third and Lowndes fourth.
If Northside beats Colquitt, Warner Robins beats Lowndes, Valdosta beats Houston, Northside finishes first, Lowndes second, Colquitt third and Warner Robins fourth.
If Northside beats Colquitt, Lowndes beats Warner Robins and Valdosta beats Houston, Northside finishes first, Lowndes second, Colquitt third and Valdosta fourth.
Whatever happens tonight, Newnan will host the No. 4 place teamfrom 1-AAAAA next week while East Coweta will travel to the No. 2 finisher.
The top three spots in 4-AAAAA are settled with Newnan, Westlake and East Coweta in.
The fourth spot is up from grabs with Chapel Hill at 5-3 in region play and Pebblebrook and Creekside both at 4-4.
Here are the possibilities:
If Chapel Hill beats Westlake, Chapel Hill clinches fourth place.
If Chapel Hill loses to Westlake, Pebblebrook beats Mundy's Mill and Creekside loses to Riverdale, Pebblebrook is No. 4.
If Chapel Hill loses, Pebblebrook loses and Creekside wins, Chapel Hill is No. 4.
If Pebblebrook and Creekside win and Chapel Hill loses, all three will be tied at 5-4. If that happens a mini-game type jamboree will be played on Monday to determine the fourth place finisher.
