East Coweta teams sweep Alexander

East Coweta soccer lineups bounced back from non-region losses at Parkview on Monday by sweeping Alexander in a final tuneup for the GHSA Class AAAAAA state playoffs.

The Lady Indians blanked the Lady Cougars 6-0 behind three goals from senior Ren Waters and two assists from Lynnsey Danford.

Anna Lauzon, Nikki Brandley and Katie Sutherland also scored for East Coweta’s girls while S.K. Palmer and Bailey Ruston added assists.

The Indians defeated Alexander 7-3 with Jose Mosquera, Todd Davis and Zac Slaton all coming away with multi-point games.

Mosquera finished with two goals and an assist while Slaton also had three points on a goal and two assists.

Davis finished with a goal and an assist in the victory.

Austin Cosby, Justin Sharpe and Cole Antley also scored for the Indians. Nick Martin and Trevor Craft added assists.
