Lady Indians, Lady Cougars blank opponents
Not every local high school spring sports event was a victim to the rain on Tuesday.
East Coweta and Newnan's girls soccer teams prepared for the upcoming Class AAAAAA state playoffs by shutting out opponents on a bitter night in April.

Lynnsey Danford had a goal and an assist to lead East Coweta.
Nikki Brandley also scored for the Lady Indians while Ren Waters added an assist in the victory.
Newnan's girls soccer lineup also braved what hoped to be a final chill of the 2014 season for a 1-0 victory in non-region play against Carrollton on the turf of Grisham Stadium.
Senior Erin Bright scored the game winner for the Lady Cougars in the second half after neither team could manage a goal in the opening 40 minutes.
