Vikings storm past Grady 20-3

Northgate showcased its offensive depth on the lacrosse field on Friday in a 20-3 throttling of Area 1-AAAAA/A foe Grady at Henry Seldon Field.

Seven Vikings tallied goals during a second-quarter outburst and goalies Nick Abbadangelo and Christian McClendon combined on 11 saves in an equally strong defensive effort.

In all, Northgate received goals from nine players while picking up its first region victory.

The Vikings improved to 4-4 overall and 1-3 against 1-AAAAA/A opponents heading into Monday’s home game against The Lovett School (4-1, 2-0).

Jason Pealor got Northgate started with two of his team-high five goals in the first 12 minutes as the Vikings grabbed an early 4-0 lead, before quickly putting the game away in the second period.

Pealor also added three assists for an eight-point performance.

Christian Lowery and chandler Warren were among five Northgate players with multiple-goal games, each finishing with three in the victory.

Jeff Sargent and Brennan Wilcox scored twice while clayton Francisco, Alex Norton, Garrett Klone, Zach Schrepfer and Andrew Tuttle also had goals in the victory.

Francisco led the team with eight ground-balls while add- ing two assists. Lowery also had two assists while Warren and Tuttle also set up one goal each.

Abbadangelo had eight saves to lead Northgate.
