Lady Vikings see 10 earn All-Region honors

The Northgate softball team is being rewarded for its Class AAAAA state -runner up finish.

Led by Region 4-AAAAA Pitcher Year McKenzie Peace, 10 Northgate softball players earned all-region postseason honors.

Peace, who recently signed with La Salle University, finished the year with a 1.91 ERA, 202 strikeouts and 66 walks. She finished with a 20-9 record.

Junior second baseman Carly Alderman, junior third baseman Jenna Pealor, and senior outfielder Brenna Skalski and junior outfielder Ebonee Echols each earned first team honors.

Senior catcher Brittany Futral, senior shortstop Casey Kent, senior first baseman Emily Heath, senior designated player Mackenzie McCloud and sophomore outfielder Jessica Houk each earned second team honors.

Northgate finished the year 28-9-1.
