East Coweta sweeps Our Lady of Mercy

The East Coweta soccer teams got a pair of shutout wins Thursday night against Our Lady of Mercy.

East Coweta won the girls game 7-0, while the boys cruised 5-0.

The third-ranked Indians improved to 9-0. The Lady Indians improved to 7-2.

Ian Antley was on fire for the Indians scoring four times. Teammate Zac Slaton added one score.

Nick Martin, Austin Slaton, Justin Sharp and Todd Davis contributed in the victory with assists.

In girls action, Nicole Brandley added three goals and Tara Federico had two. East Coweta also picked up goals from Morgan Haase and Serenity Waters. Waters and Haase also finishd the game with two assists. Anna Lauzon and Katie Sutherland also added an assistant.

Both teams are off until Monday when they play host to Newnan in the first-day of the Coweta Cup.
