Prep Basketball Roundup: Heritage School drops first game

The Heritage School boys basketball team suffered its first loss of the season on Friday while unable to survive a 67-62 loss at Dominion Christian in overtime.
The Hawks led 18-17 after one period and 27-25 at halftime but couldn’t hang on.
Heritage School fell to 11-1 overall and 3-1 in region play while Dominion improved to 10-4 and 2-2.
Full details of both varsity games were unavailable at deadline Friday.
Boys – Holy Spirit 56, Trinity Christian 45
The Lions (2-11, 0-4) rallied in the second quarter to turn a three-point deficit into a 25-19 halftime lead, but couldn’t hang on despite 13 points from Christian Downs and 12 from Glen Whisby.
Girls – Landmark Christian 37, Our Lady Of Mercy 35
The Lady War Eagles evened their Region 5-A record to 2-2 with the win while improving to 6-8 overall.
Boys – Landmark Christian 98, Our Lady Of Mercy 44
The War Eagles moved to 2-2 and 9-4 overall.
Both Landmark teams return to play tonight at Woodward Academy.
