East Coweta swimmer Nick Hogsed will have some tough decisions to make later on this season.
Hogsed has turned in state times in all eight individual events. It’s the second year in a row, he has accomplished the feat.
The Indians’ swimmer is also ranked No. 1 in the state in the 500 free. Last week at the Coweta County meet, Hogsed swam past the rest of the field the long distance race, winning the race by more than a minute.
But Hogsed has also shown he can swim well in shorter races. A week ago in Carrollton's Holiday Invitational, Hogseed set state times in 200 free and the 200 IM.
East Coweta’s 200-freestyle relay (Kelsey Taliferro, Abby Komer, Stacie Evans and Ashley Delgado) and 400-freestyle relay (Taliaferro, Evans, Katie Lynn Sears, and Delgado) also earned a berth at the state meet with qualifying times.
The Lady Indians Delgado has earned state qualifying times in the 200, 100 and 50 free.
Taliaferro earned state qualifying times in the 200 IM, 100 back, and the 100 breast.

Justin Moore and Delaney Wallace are also off to solid starts this season for Northgate. Last Tuesday, Moore and Wallace helped the Vikings capture the second straight Coweta County Championship.

Wallace has earned state times in three events –  including the 200 IM, 50 free, and 100 breast. Moore has earned state times in the 50 free, 100 fly, 100 free and the backstroke.

Northgate has also earned state qualifying times in the girls 200-medley relay (Kalie Whiddon, Wallace, Giulia Middei and Hayley Holmes) and the boys 200-medley relay (Moore, Spencer Ramthun, Andrew Wheeler and Russell Durrance).

The Vikings also added state times in both the boys and girls 200-free relays with Wheeler, Ramthun, Durrance and Moore swimming for the boys, and Whiddon, Bria Malry, Holmes, and Wallace swimming the event for the girls.
