Lady Indians signing D-I scholarships this week

The big boys among standout senior student athletes get a chance to sign the dotted line in February on National Signing Day.
But as the adage goes ... ladies first.
Lady Indians senior pitcher Megan Chocallo, who helped guide East Coweta to its eighth straight appearance in the GHSA Elite 8 softball tournament, will sign today with Towson University. The Tigers are a member of the Colonial Athletic Conference.
The 5-10, right-hander pitched for the varsity during all four years with the Lady Indians. She has also played for the 2013 East Cobb Bullets 18 Gold Showcase team with Northgate’s Brenna Skalski.
On Thursday, East Coweta senior standout golfer Ji Eun Baik will sign a national letter of intent to play at Mississippi State. Baik, who finished tied for third overall in Class AAAAA at last year’s GHSA state tournament, also won a Region 2-AAAAA title.
Baik, known as “J.B.”, is coming off a summer where she competed at the U.S. Girls Junior Amateur in San Francisco. She received interest from several other SEC schools.
