LITHIA SPRINGS — Junior J.D. Farlow rushed for 162 yards and teammate Austin Reeves also had another 100-yard game for Heritage Christian as the Crusaders dominated in all three phases during a 58-12 rout of Colonial Hills on Friday for the team’s second consecutive victory.
Depth, however, gave Heritage Christian (2-1) a chance to shine in the Independent Christian Schools of Georgia and Alabama North Region victory. Caleb Plowman and Jesse Parkerson also added touchdown runs and quarterback Dutch Williams connected with Reeves on a touchdown pass for the second consecutive week.
All 20 of Heritage Christian’s players saw action as the team improved to 2-0 in the ICSGA North Region.
The Crusaders, who had been scheduled to play CrossPointe during the preseason, expect to be off until a trip to Life Christian on Sept. 21. Head coach Al Williams is currently trying to find a game for this week after CrossPointe had to cancel after scheduling two teams for the same date.
