From Staff Reports
sports@newnan.com
The Landmark Christian Lady War Eagles will play for the Class A state volleyball title after posting a 3-1 win over Savannah Christian (25-12, 15-25, 25-9 and 25-18) on Wednesday.
Tiffany Creamer led the way with 14 kills. Lilly Kessler had 8 kills and 9 digs. Jenny Luckie helped the Lady War Eagles to Saturday’s title match with 13 kills and nine digs.
Mary-Michael McCathren had six kills. Kierstin Cusumano had six blocks.
The Lady War Eagles move on to play the winner of the Walker-Hebron Christian match Saturday at Marietta High School. The time of the match will be announced later.
Clarification: A story in Wednesday’s sports section regarding high school volleyball should have also included Erin Valentine as a senior player this year for Northgate. We regret the error.
