Four teams will converge on the Northgate cross country course Saturday morning to participate in the second annual Coach Daley Invitational.
Northgate head coach Chris Kimes started the meet last year as away to honor the former Vikings coach.
Daley sent several runners on to the college ranks. Daley retired after the 2005-06 school year.
Saturday’s meet should be a preview of the upcoming county meet as East Coweta, and Newnan will also participate. Callaway is the other non-county school set to run.
“It should be a good preview for the county meet,” Kimes said. “East Coweta is hosting the county meet this year, but it is going to be on our course.”
The meet starts with the boys varsity at 9 a.m., followed by the girls varsity at 9:30. Junior varsity boys action starts at 10, followed by the junior varsity girls at 10:30.
