* Burger King, 415 Bullsboro Drive, Newnan, was inspected Aug. 22. Current score, 100, A. Previous score, 93, A. Inspector's comments: Looks great!
* Jasmine Tea Room, 8861 Hwy. 54, Sharpsburg, was inspected Aug. 22. Current score, 91, A. Previous score, 87, B. Inspector's comments: Store employee drinks down and away from food prep areas. Keep hand sinks clear; use for hand wash only. Store cloths in sanitizer between uses. Clean and paint shelves. Clean under and around stove/grill area. Clean outsides of stove, grill, microwave and inside cabinets. Clean vents. Shield light bulb in pantry.
* Hooters, 1001 Bullsboro Drive, Newnan, was inspected Aug. 22. Current score, 90, A. Previous score, 88, B. Inspector's comments: Employee cups must have lids and straws and must be stored away from utensils. Provide paper towels at all hand sinks. Keep foods covered in reach-ins. Air-dry dishes prior to stacking. Use scoops with handles; no bowls. Clean under and around equipment. Store employee items in designated areas out of food storage areas.

* El Ranchero, 211-E Bullsboro Drive, Newnan, was inspected Aug. 28. Current score, 98, A. Previous score, 50, U. Inspector's comments: Seal or paint any raw wood. Replace broken floor tiles. Store personal items out of food storage areas. Looks good!
* La Fiesta, 7-9 Jackson Street, Newnan, was inspected Aug. 28. Current score, 85, B. Previous score, 80, B. Inspector's comments: Employees must wash hands after prepping raw meat, eating and drinking, etc.; wash between glove changes, and before prepping ready-to-eat foods. Employees must wear gloves when handling ready-to-eat foods (cutting tortillas). Label and date-mark all foods in freezers out of the original container. Air-dry dishes prior to storage. Store utensils with handles up. Replace freezer lid. Remove tape from freezer and clean. Clean and paint shelves in back area and any raw wood throughout facility. Remove carpet at walk-in cooler steps and clean and paint. Clean outsides of equipment. Clean gaskets at all coolers and mold at walk-in cooler door. Clean outside of bulk containers. Clean up back area of any refuse. Clean floors, walls and ceilings throughout facility. Patch and seal any holes or cracks throughout. Paint as needed. Clean exhaust fan in kitchen.
* Corner Cafe, 1485 Hwy. 34 East, Newnan, was inspected Sept. 4. Current score, 95, A. Inspector's comments: Store cloths in sanitizer between uses. Remove wood board at prep area or seal and paint. Continue sealing cracks, patching holes, painting walls and repairing cracked floor tiles. Looks good!
* Espresso Lane, Inc., 22 West Court Square, Newnan, was inspected Sept. 5. Current score, 96. Inspector's comments: New ownership. Need sanitizer in wiping cloths -- corrected. Invert lids stored in container under counter. Store cups in plastic sleeve on front counter. Store scoops handle-up in product. Need certified food safety manager within 90 days.
