John Wesley to hold homecoming on Sunday

John Wesley United Methodist Church in Grantville is holding its annual homecoming, followed by a revival.

Homecoming will be Sunday at 11 a.m. J.D. Tompkins 'will deliver the morning message,' said church member Alice Malcolm.

Dinner will be served immediately following the service.

Revival begins Monday and continues through Wednesday. Those services will start at 7 p.m.

'Three dynamic preachers will deliver the messages,' Malcolm said.

Alphonso Smith will preach on Monday, and Tuesday's message will be brought by Chris McCambry. The final preacher will be James Wood.

Smith is pastor of Burk Chapel United Methodist Church in Troup County, while McCambry is pastor of Greater Jehovah Baptist Church in Grantville Wood pastors Wadley Chapel United Methodist Church in Troup County.

'Their churches - along with ot her community churches - and Grantville Prayer Band Number 7 have been invited to lead devotional services and provide special music,' Malcolm said the church is extending an invitation to 'all community churches, new residents and those who are seeking new life in Jesus Christ.'
