Siblings Tiffany and Kent Craig from Newnan entered the Missionary Training Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Provo, Utah, together in October.
Tiffany will serve as a missionary in the San Jose, Calif., mission for 18 months while Kent will be going to the Mozambique/Angola Africa mission for two years. He has been assigned to Angola and will learn Portuguese. Both reached the age of service for the church in September -- 21 for girls and 19 for boys. The age has since changed to 19 for girls and 18 for boys.
Tiffany and Kent are the children of Blair and April Craig. After graduating East Coweta High School in 2010, Tiffany attended Brigham Young University Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho. Kent spent a semester abroad in Australia his senior year, graduating from ECHS in 2012.
Missionary service in the LDS church is voluntary, being paid for by the missionary with the help of his or her family. Each mission is presided over by a mission president and his wife, who are looked on as surrogate parents. The missionaries live in an apartment with one to three other missionaries. They have a budget for living expenses and spend their time sharing their faith and helping others.
Kent earned part of his mission money by working at the Republican National Convention. He worked for his uncle, who put in all the electronics for the national meeting.

Elder and Sister Craig, as they are now known, will continue their education after returning home from their missions.
