BBQ set for Oct. 6 at St. Mary Magdalene

From Staff Reports
religion@newnan.com
The Knights of Columbus at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church will be holding their annual barbecue on Oct. 6.
Plates will be available for pickup from noon-7 p.m. in the church’s parish hall. Once again, this year the Knights have enlisted the staff from Smitty’s Old Fashioned BBQ.
Plates will be $8 and will include barbecued pork, brunswick stew, cole slaw, chips and a pickle.
Last year almost 600 plates were served, and the Knights are hoping for an even bigger turnout in 2012.
Proceeds from the fundraiser help Knights of Columbus Council 12862 raise money for Coweta County charities – including Special Olympics, Coweta Pregnancy Services and the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Delivery for local businesses or other groups with 10 or people is available. For delivery or information, email Smittybbqsauce@yahoo.com or call 678-326-2758.
