First United Methodist Church of Newnan will be worshipping in old camp meeting style on Sunday.
The church has reserved the pavilion at the Newnan Utilities cabin and pavilion on Leigh Avenue for the day’s worship setting. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. with a covered dish meal to follow.
First Methodist has a camp meeting service last year, and a large number of members requested a similar service be held this year.
First Methodist will also have its usual 8:30 a.m. service in the sanctuary, but Sunday school will not be held.
At the covered dish meal, the church will also have the kickoff for its “Feed My Sheep” cookbook. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample some of the sumptuous dishes from “Feed My Sheep” and to purchase cookbooks for $15 each.
There are 400 recipes in the book.
