Do you agree with a proposed Georgia bill that would give the state more enforcement power to garnish wages of employed residents who owe state taxes?

I would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for recognizing Senoia with one of four prosperity awards for 2009. Councilman Maurice Grover and I were proud to accept the award.
The award should have been presented not only to the city, but to the community as a whole. The decisions we as mayor and council make are made after receiving input from the many citizens that make up the different authorities and commissions. It would be unfair to not recognize those individuals who volunteer their time and hard work to achieve the vision and continue to create the feel of what makes Senoia a special place. This would include the Planning Commission, the Downtown Development Authority and the Historic Preservation Committee. Additionally, there are countless volunteers who work with the different sub-committees that work within these groups.
Senoia has always been a special place. Those who have served before us have always kept the vision and the sense of community as their top priority. We have tried very hard to maintain those goals.
Growth and change are inevitable. We are fortunate to have the community involvement that we have. Our citizens have had and will continue to have the opportunity to voice their opinions and give input on any project that is coming up. Town hall meetings give the community the opportunity to voice concerns and ask questions that directly affect them.
We are grateful for those who choose Senoia to help us grow. No growth or development comes without problems. We have created an environment that allows for disagreements to be heard and potential land mines to be diffused before causing problems.
Again, I thank the chamber for this award. Senoia is a perfect example of how the spirit of cooperation will truly work.
If you like where we are, you'll love where we're going.
