Reality show in Congress

This past week our nation was treated to a U.S. Congress reality show. Republicans videotaped the Democrat side of the aisle during a weekday, showing nothing but vacant seats. Playing in the background was the song "Hit the Road, Jack."

The next morning the Democratic House leadership (an oxymoron) changed the locks to lock the Republicans out; the reason being Republicans do not know how to behave.

What comes next? Spit ball fights across the aisles, placing a dead squirrel under desks, putting chalk in chalkboard erasers, hiding the Speaker's podium, putting cherry bombs in the trash cans, setting off a false fire alarm or putting ink in the restroom soap dispensers?

Our nation is facing serious challenges. Our representatives work part-time and get into petty schoolroom squabbles.

I am appealing to all members of Congress. If you are a senator and have served more than two terms, or if you are a House member and served more than four terms, then go home!
