Obama wants to weaken middle class

Tyrants of all periods have understood they must weaken or destroy the middle class. Remember the left's sneers about "bourgeois" this and "bourgeois" that during the last century? It was the rise of a middle class of burghers (bourgeois), independent merchants, that ended feudal tyranny. Before that, there were only two classes -- the nobility with their vassals and fiefs, and the serfs. As far back as Aristotle men recognized a strong middle class is the only buffer between the rulers and their powerless subjects, the only safeguard to liberty.

The American middle class is precisely the enemy that President Obama and his crowd want to weaken. Obama, Bill and Hillary, and all leftists are devout students of Saul Alinsky, a fact that ought to alarm every right-thinking American. In his Rules for Radicals, the left's playbook, Alinsky refers to the white middle class as "the enemy" and shows how to destroy its power through community organizing. Sound familiar? Alinsky's disciples are so certain they know what is "best for mankind" that they justify any lie, any deception. The Trojan horse is their model. The ends justify almost any means. Alinsky says that activists can't afford the luxury of conscience. He justifies treachery: "The successful traitor becomes a founding father." "All effective action requires a passport of morality." And so on.

Alinsky begins his book by quoting Lucifer, whom he calls "the first radical." Radicals don't care about flesh-and-blood Tom, Dick and Harry, and will cheerfully sacrifice them for the abstraction, Mankind. Stalin slaughtered Ivans, Borises and Alexis by the millions for the sake of the Revolution. The first to go were the Russian intellectuals, the "useful idiots" who abetted Lenin's Revolution. A contemporary "useful idiot," Ed Schultz of MSNBC, recently admitted proudly that he would cheat to win. Alinsky would be proud.
