Some really just don't get it at all.
Those who "think for yourselves" understand climate and cycles? And yet you continue to make jokes and then complain when your jokes are seen as ignorant and insulting. Jokes of "Gee, where's the global warming?" when the temperatures are lower than normal reflect disconcerting ignorance concerning the effects of global warming. Current climate change is happening more rapidly than past cycles. These changes coincide with increased carbon dioxide levels. Instead of believing reports that latch on to small group problems with reporting or recording, you might try to actually think for yourself and examine the evidence.
There is a consensus among thousands of scientists internationally concerning the effects and causes of global climate change. To believe that there is an effort by the scientific community, many who are Americans, to destroy the American economy smacks of conspiracy theory thinking.
You comment that global climate change is not "because a cow poops in the woods" -- true, however, factory farming does contribute to climate change.
Einstein was trying to explain a static universe, and was startled to discover that the models created indicated the universe would be either expanding or contracting. He added the cosmological constant to correct for what he thought was an error. In 1929 Einstein admitted this when Hubble discovered that our universe is, in fact, expanding. Anyone who understands these theories knows the proposed expansion/contraction cycle of the universe would not occur within time boundaries observable by recorded history, but instead would mark a beginning and an end to the existence of the universe as we know it.
Did that make Einstein's science bad? No, it is the basis for understanding gravitational relationships in science today. Please, gain an education in these issues. They are too important to rely on "commentators" out to make a buck increasing ratings among viewers who want an excuse not to change their consumption practices.
