Mr. Barbie Beach: As a teacher, I've had the pleasure of working with the 'Barbie Beach' man. He is a retired professional who substitutes for the county, and has worked with children in Exceptional Education programs. Along with the ever-changing work of art he shares with folks who pass by on Hwy 16, he spends that 'extra time' volunteering for the Special Olympics. A pretty cool guy.

Comics: Comics were a big part of the lives of young people of my generation. I still enjoy them and they are one of the first things I read when I receive each publication. They are a reminder of times that were more simple and enjoyable.

Too much opinion? Let me see. This is the opinion page. Everyone has an opinion, and this is where you express it. If you don't like reading other people's opinion, don't read this page. There, that was simple, wasn't it.

Booing God: Pray America. Thank God the Republicans are in Congress, someone needs to pray. After all, it was at the DNC that the Democrats booed God.

Better not go: To the dude who had his lawn equipment stolen ... be careful when you go over to the thieves house for dinner. They do have a chainsaw.

Get this straight. There are sexual predators in every line of work. Military, ministry, accounting, fire fighting, none are exempt, including your line of work.

Just a dream. The dump trucks are there to haul away junk, dumpster is in place to fill with old tires, mattresses in the yard and the bulldozer is ready. Oh rats (and there are plenty in the courtyard) it was a dream, the Newnan House Motel is still standing.

Seriously?: To the person that doesn't understand the concept of Barbie Beach, you have no problem with the stuff this column usually contains but you have a problem with Barbie Beach? God save the Queen and I'm not even British.

Where's your decency?: One of the entitled ones is obviously who the owner of the Newnan House Motel thinks he is and is above the code of decency and honor. Owning three motels that are hovels and uninhabitable, how utterly despicable. How long before his new one on Bullsboro looks the same?

Don't stop: I will stop sounding off when the owner does the right thing. Our county doesn't deserve such an eyesore and he owns three of them. As for turning my head - how about you don't read the Sound Offs if you are offended. Really? How Ridiculous.

Take me to the beach: The concept of Barbie Beach is simple - Fun. It brings a smile and lightens a day. What could be more worthy?

Funny joke: I thought the Muslims and mosquitos joke was funny. America needs to get back to its Christian roots that it was founded on, and stop trying to put God on the back burner. "One nation, under God." I don't recall anything about Allah being in there.

Respect it: Respect is required for the Office of the President and for military officers by their subordinates. However, military officers know that personal respect is only earned through leadership, otherwise they are considered perfumed princes. Obama is a perfumed prince whose arrogance and narcissism will never earn him personal respect.

Where's the plan?: Is it too much to ask why the Republicans can't tell what their replacement plan for Obamacare is before repealing it? Is it because they have none? No plan is unacceptable; to leave it up to the individual states would be chaos.

Love America: President George Bush and Dick Cheney love America and are honest. On the other hand Obama and his administration are out to destroy America as we know it and they are not acquainted with the truth.

Home of the ...: When did "the land of the free" become "the land of the free . . . stuff"?
