Looking within for prosperity
Things seem to be going pretty good around here and seem to be trending upward.
It’s obvious with the commercial and residential construction going on, and in the quality of the health-care investments being made with Piedmont Newnan and the Cancer Treatment Center of America locating here.
A third professional building was announced last week going up around the hospital. We have lots of infrastructure improvements. Ashley Park is crowded and the stores seem to be doing a brisk business. Theaters are full, lots of people seem to be going out for lunch and dinner. High-paid earners continue to flow south of the perimeter to Coweta.
Senoia is booming and Grantville may even be trending up. Prices are stable and interest rates are at an all-time low. Churches are springing up everywhere again, in line with their growing memberships and income. Hopefully, a similar rise in the betterment of the lives of the less well-off in the community is happening, too.
This is what we should care about.
Sure the state, national, and world news and events are important to follow, but they should be looked at through the prism of our own experiences and what we can see for ourselves.
Our situation isn’t totally to the credit or blame of any particular president, political party or policy, so don’t buy into that game. Look around for yourselves.
Don’t be just fodder for the self-interests of the political class who seem to thrive solely on adversarial denouncements while playing on the emotions of the people.
