Boomer's family thanks community

by The Bishop & Rogers Families

We would like to take this opportunity to let the people of Newnan and Coweta County know how very much we appreciate the outpouring of love and affection shown in the illness and death of Danny “Boomer” Bishop. Actually, his many friends did not wait until Danny’s illness to show their devotion, but had long displayed their concern for him in their support.

We would probably all agree that Danny was certainly unique. We sometimes wondered how he would cope with life after the passing of his immediate family. Happily, our concerns were laid to rest as the years passed on.

His uncanny knowledge of sports, his unassuming personality, and his ability to remember names drew friends to him from all walks of life. He knew no prejudice: He had just as soon bum a ride from someone in a Model “T” Ford as the longest Cadillac on the road.

With the passing of time, Danny inexplicably became BOOMER. Maybe Urban Legend would be appropriate in describing his persona. No one knows the names of all the people who were there for Boomer day in and day out. Their names would fill this page.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. God bless you all.
