Left-lane law is dumb
Concerning the recent article “Left-lane law in effect:”
I strongly disapprove of part of this law: “It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are going in the left lane. If someone behind you is going faster (even over the speed limit), you have to move over.”
I use the left lane often because the people driving in the right lane are often going slower than the speed limit. I like to go 45 mph in a 45-mph limit.
Now, if I was traveling at 45 mph in the left lane and some speeder approaches from behind going 50 mph or more, I have to move over or possibly get a ticket. This law will limit my advancement and encourage the speeder to go even faster.
