Change the parade time

It’s a shame that a local tradition that everyone looks forward to has been taken away.

I, too, live on LaGrange Street, and one of the highlights of the year is the Fourth of July parade and fireworks at Newnan High School.

Many family and friends gather along the parade route to enjoy what has traditionally been a huge event. It’s the little things like this that make me proud to say “I live in Newnan, Georgia.”

I hope that Main Street will reconsider and change the time back to 6 p.m. and allow the route to continue down LaGrange Street to Newnan High.
