Change the parade start time

Thank you for the further information on the Fourth of July parade. I still must express my disappointment at the change of time.

Changing it to the morning will make it less likely that people will attend, defeating the purpose of the parade, which is to have the whole town celebrate. We who live on LaGrange Street proudly accept that our road will be blocked several times a year for parades and races, etc.

The Fourth of July parade is the highlight of the year! My friends and family always look forward to gathering for the parade, followed by the fireworks, which is one of those things that makes Newnan so special and preserves its small-town charm.

I still hope Main Street will reconsider its decision to move the start time. Carol Markham
