In support of Sen. Mike Crane

I did not vote for Senator Crane, but as far as I am concerned, he should wear his “U” rating from the Georgia Chamber as a badge of honor. Senator Crane has a lot more hunters, fishermen, bird-watchers and hikers in his district than members of the Georgia or Atlanta chambers.

In its original version, Senate Bill 213, for instance, which Crane and Representative Stover courageously opposed, would have confiscated water in south and middle Georgia and sent it to Florida in order to retain more volume in Lake Lanier. This would have deprived private landowners of their water rights in order to enrich the Atlanta and Gainesville crowd.

Opposition to crony-capitalism means that government should not deprive one class of citizens in order to benefit another.
