Intolerable tyranny

There are many accusations bouncing around the press between the Executive branch and Congress regarding: Fast & Furious (illegal arms sales encouraged by the Department of Justice); the IRS scandal (IRS illegally targeting conservative organizations and individuals); Benghazi (abandonment of American patriots during a terrorist assault on a US Consulate in Libya); Voter Rights (DOJ refuses to sentence convicted voter intimidation); Immigration (DOJ refuses to faithfully execute the laws); and implementation of Obamacare (arbitrary waivers and modifications in violation of the law).

These are egregious violations of fundamental balance of power essential to proper operation of our Constitutional Republic.

This administration repeatedly presumes authorities it has never been delegated, and repeatedly violates the oath of office of key members.

In the US, it is the citizen, not government, that is sovereign. The government is no more than “a hired hand” to implement the duties and responsibilities clearly enumerated in the Constitution: no more, no less.

In government, the Congress (each member elected by the sovereign citizens) is the most powerful branch, empowered to make the laws necessary and proper to fulfill the duties vested by the Constitution in the Government, its departments, and its officers. (Article II, Section 8, Paragraph 18).

Congress is given the authority to hold accountable both the Executive and the Judicial branches for their compliance with the Constitution, and is delegated responsibility to impeach any member for non-compliance.

The DOJ has repeatedly refused to provide specific files demanded by Congress in their role of oversight and investigation of wrong-doing. The Attorney General has already been found to be in contempt of Congress, yet he continues to withhold requested information.

Taking authorities never delegated and refusing lawful orders by Congress are examples of tyranny. Tyranny is intolerable in our Constitutional Republic because it undermines the foundation on which our nation and our society are necessarily built. When government breaks the law with impunity, it undermines the order that government is created to provide.

Every federal and state officer takes a solemn oath to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution.” It is time to do so – before tyranny reigns supreme.
