Mr. Johnny Wilfred Murphy

Mr. Johnny Wilfred Murphy, age 63, passed away at his residence following a long illness.

He was born in Chandler, OK, on Feb. 27, 1951, and was the son of the late Williams A. Murphy Sr. and Dorothy Colbentz Murphy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William A. Murphy Jr; and a sister, Doretta J. Cerne. He is survived by his brother, Hugh (and Linda) Crume; sister, Patricia (Don) Childers; his younger brother, J.C. Murphy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Johnny's career was in the Civil Service in Logistics. He also served eight years in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, NC.

In honor of his service to his country, he will be interred in The Georgia National Cemetery in Canton on Wednesday, April 2 at 1:30 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mckoon.com.
