Westmoreland needs a history lesson

Once again, Mr. Westmoreland continues to fail voters in his district. His latest venture is to co-sponsor HR 442 to stop President Obama from exercising his constitutional power of executive orders.

He claims that President Obama has issued 166 executive orders and has become a "do what he wants president.”

How could Mr. Westmoreland forget or just look the other way when President George W. Bush issued 291 executive orders, or even the icon of the GOP — President Reagan, who issued over 380 executive orders?

Mr. Westmoreland, really, who is the “do what he wants president”?

This bill, HR 442, is a waste of time for Congress, and it only serves to continue to divide a do-nothing Congress, and most of it wastes money.
