Politics have ruined America
Many of us take “politics” for granted when, in fact, by design and by contract (US Constitution) politics have no valid standing in governing our constitutional republic.
The Constitution is simply and clearly worded. It lists every responsibility and every authority delegated to government. The Bill of Rights simply and clearly lists a number of inalienable rights over which government is denied any authority, or is delegated specifically limited authority.
The 9th and 10th amendments simply and clearly state that unless an authority or responsibility is listed in the Constitution, the federal government can’t assume it.
Alexis de Tocqueville toured America one generation after Independence to learn why America was so exceptional compared to every other nation on Earth, especially those in Europe from whence the majority of Americans emigrated.
He was amazed to discover that even settlers in the wilderness who had virtually no formal education were able to intelligently debate the US Constitution, the structure of American government, and the foundations of American liberty. Most also had an intimate knowledge of the Bible, especially the Gospels. De Tocqueville noted that American liberty was built on Christian beliefs and was a unique exception to the general rule elsewhere; where religion was used to restrict rather than justify liberty.
Today, with 24/7 access to all known information via the Internet, a minimum mandatory decade of formal government-regulated education and innumerable “news” outlets, most Americans are more ignorant of American principles than an illiterate 1800s American frontiersman.
This grotesque reality results entirely from “politics” that are, by their nature, intended solely to manipulate voters to coerce their mindless support of a political faction.
Despite America’s motto, E Pluribus Unum (Out of Many, One), politicians over the past century have managed to continually divide the American people into innumerable “special interest groups” by gender, race, nationality, creed, lifestyle, etc., in order to buy their votes and political support to benefit the politician, not the people. That’s why we are now $17 trillion in debt and free-falling.
America can only be restored by restoring Constitutional governance. Vote for the Constitution in 2014.
