'Truth or Consequences?'
For all you political partisans who embrace Obamacare, I challenge you to reach out and ask your elected representatives exactly why members of Congress, the IRS and federal bureaucracies have been exempted from the wrath of this repressive monstrosity.
Research Cleveland Clinic, one of the largest and most prestigious hospital organizations in the country, and ask them why they may have to lay off thousands of employees because of Obamacare and what impact this may have concerning patient care. Ask the leaders of the national labor unions why they want to be exempted from Obamacare.
If you currently are covered under a company-sponsored insurance plan, ask your employer why you may lose or have your insurance plan altered, or taxed with a penalty tax up to 40 percent simply because your plan offers better coverage than Obamacare. Will all physicians and hospitals accept Obamacare? The questions are endless. The answers will send chills up your spine. Once again, the middle class gets shafted by a double-standard.
Let this be on your conscience. Think, wise up, and consider your future election votes at the ballot box carefully. Remember this, no individual, political party, or entity can look over your shoulder in the voting booth.
As a recommendation, I would also like to suggest a “fact check” column. The mainstream media goes to great lengths to lie by omission, fabricate the truth and embellish their reporting, particularly as it relates to politics. It is apparent to me that a large segment of the public is actually in the dark on many critical issues due to media bias.
Repetitive lies are commonplace. You hear them enough, they become the truth. The current administration in the White House sets the standard of how to master the art of semantic gymnastics.
