Praise for “Three Days at Foster”
My wife and I attended the screening of the documentary "Three Days at Foster" in the Wadsworth Auditorium, and we thought the film was absolutely outstanding.
It was fast-paced, direct and told a compelling story of the struggle for African-American athletes to play sports at the University of Alabama. The film avoided the stereotypes found so often in films of that era. Everyone was telling their own perspective about the situation and together they wove a most fascinating story.
I most strongly recommend the film to anyone who has any interest in that period of our history. I think Keith Dunnavant and his team have created a fair, balanced and correct story of a most difficult time. You can’t help but love the main characters, who were both direct and honest about their feelings and emotions.
All in all, I would give the film a huge thumbs up.
