Wouldn't Alec Ogletree look great in the uniform of the Atlanta Falcons?

Newnan’s Alec Ogletree, the all-star linebacker for the Georgia Bulldogs, didn’t take any time after his team whipped Nebraska 45-31 in Tuesday’s Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Fla. He announced immediately after the game he had played his last college game at UGA and will be entering the National Football League draft this year.
Ogletree, a junior, had a monster final game for the Bulldogs. He led the team in tackles with 13, forced a key fumble and recovered that fumble when Nebraska seemed to be getting momentum in the game. He had three tackles for losses in the game and one quarterback sack.
Ogletree’s quarterback sack was his last play as a Bulldog, when he blitzed the quarterback late in the fourth quarter and threw him to the ground. After Ogletree’s sack, the Bulldogs ran out the clock and celebrated their 12th win of the season -- only the third time a Georgia team has won 12 games in school history. The other two years (1980 and 1982) were when Herschel Walker was the team’s superstar.
The scene of Ogletree’s sack on his final play capped off a great career for the Newnan High School standout. Now it’s on to the NFL and some big paydays.
We congratulate Ogletree and offer one more thought. Wouldn’t Alec Ogletree look great in an Atlanta Falcons uniform for the next decade or more?
