Hear from other denominations

A recent edition of your newspaper contained yet another editorial attempt to, as Leonard Pitts puts it, divine the divine by you as publisher of the Newnan Times-Herald.
Billy Graham is so far beyond his prime that it is not fair to the public to even quote him. Do you really believe that Billy Graham was behind the letter printed as paid advertisement across America during election week supporting the Republican Party?
It seems very opportunistic to me and most likely penned by his son Franklin or someone else from the crusade. Billy Graham always stayed out of politics. This whole push for the Republican Party just smacks of the exploitation of one of America’s greatest living heroes.
Nevertheless, it is certainly in tiding with your religious/editorial policy to quote Baptist ministers preaching hate and division.
Have you ever considered having an Episcopal or Lutheran minister or a Jewish reform rabbi render an opinion on politics? I feel that except for the few and far between, you’d get a different opinion altogether.
