Check sample ballot before voting Tuesday

The early voting has ended. There are two more days of campaigning. Tuesday will be General Election day, and voters will make their decisions, ending this long, heated political campaign
The early voting ended on Friday, and here in Coweta County about 25 percent of the registered voters cast ballots. Now, all other registered voters will have to go to their polling place on Tuesday to cast their ballot. All Coweta polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Anyone who is in line to vote at 7 p.m. will be allowed to cast their ballot
There are a limited number of contested races on the ballot in Coweta, but all the races where a candidate does not have opposition are listed on the ballot. That makes the ballot longer, and it will take voters more time to go through the entire ballot
We encourage all eligible voters to try to get to their polling place on election day. This is an important election. Turnout will be high. Expect lines during the day.
We are again today publishing the sample ballot for Coweta County. It’s on page 10A. Take time to look over that ballot before going to the polls. It can help you save time.
