Vote Libertarian TuesdayIt gets frustrating reading comments by so-called conservatives complaining about President Obama. I consider myself a staunch fiscal conservative, so conservative I’m often mocked by Republicans.
They say “a vote for Johnson is a vote for Obama.” If this were true, then a “vote for Romney is a vote for Obama” and taken to its logical conclusion, a vote for anyone is a vote for everyone. Which is obviously a ridiculous idea.
They’ll yell, “Look at the deficit. No more spending.” “No more bailouts.” “Return to the Constitution.” “Don’t Tread on Me.” “We can’t afford four more years of Obama” ... as if Romney has put forth a plan to actually cut spending, didn’t support the bailout, or refuses to support anything that ignores the very fundamentals of our Constitution.
Take the time to re-watch the debates and hear the major party candidates tell you their plans to spend your money (differently, not less), wage wars, tax (differently), and impede in your private life (in different but equal ways) and hopefully you will realize the only true change that can be made in this election is if the Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson, receives 5 percent of the popular vote.
So remember, a vote for Johnson is the first step in a marathon to fix America. Be Libertarian with me just this one time.
