Opinion different – you're wrong

I never cease to be amazed at some statements in Sound Off, even some Letters to the Editor. How can anyone with a grain of understanding of history continue to be under the impression that Pfresident Obama has been successful or by any measure good for America?
I am not sure of his goal for this country, and maybe he is successful in realizing his goal, but for a person who loves America, The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution he is and has been a dismal failure. This country was not built on welfare, of any form, but on freedom and individualism to become successful through one’s own initiative and hard work.
When a woman gives birth to one or several babies sired by one or several fathers, I feel no responsibility for any of their upkeep, including but not limited to food, housing, clothes, cell phones or whatever. I can think of no reason for government to have the power to take from me and give to any individual or foreign nation. This is not allowed by the Constitution.
If you have a differing opinion, you are entitled to it, but you are wrong. America is in deep trouble and the past few administrations have only added to our troubles. If one can’t see this they need to do some serious study and maybe change their glasses, too.

If you want to help those who won’t help themselves, feel free to do so, as you are free to do whatever you desire with what you have. I for one do not think the government should have the power to force me to do more than allowed by the Constitution.
