This is indeed a great place to call home

If you read the Sound Off comments regularly, you know we have a lot of people who like to complain and whine about what’s happening around us.
Many of the complaints and gripes are political because we are a polarized nation —conservatives vs. liberals, Republicans vs. Democrats etc., etc., etc. We can’t get along politically.
People also often complain about other things around us. As great as we have it here in Coweta County, plenty of people find plenty of things to gripe about.
Whatever our shortcomings, this is a wonderful place to call home. It’s refreshing when readers comment on the positive aspects of Newnan and Coweta County.
This was brought to our attention this week by two simple comments on our editorial about our two new hospitals now open in Newnan.
Said one reader, “I’ve been around the world and fell in love with many cities, towns and hamlets. Newnan is still number one in my heart.”
This from another reader: “All Cowetans must be proud that Newnan has so many advantages. Only when we visit other places do we know that fact. Let us all show our pride and help keep Newnan Beautiful. We can do it.”
Indeed, we often have to look elsewhere to be reminded of what a great place this is. And, yes, we need to show our pride and keep our community beautiful. We can do it if we all do our part.
