Mr. David Charles Westra, 69, of Claussen Rd., Florence, SC, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, in the McLeod Hospice after an extended illness.
Mr. Westra was born in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late David Charles and Norma Behrens. He was a manager with British-American Bank Note Company.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Gregg Westra; son, David John (Carol) Westra of Newnan, GA; daughters, Kathleen Chambers of Canton, GA, Lynn (Ron) Westra of Newnan, GA, and Emily Chandler (Todd) Westergreen of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Jeremiah Westra, Shelly Westra, Courtney Gann and Lauren Fuller; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Brett and Rylan; sister, Judy Lentz of Florida.
Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, Florence, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, or the McLeod Hospice House, P.O. Box 100551, Florence, SC 29502.
The family will be at the residence of Annie Kate Gregg.
