Mr. Wyatt James Gentry

Obituary

On June 28, 2009 the family and friends of Wyatt James Gentry gathered at Royal Baptist Church at 2 p.m. to thank God for his life.

Wyatt joined his Lord in heaven on June 25, 2009. On October 31, 1994, Wyatt was born in Columbus, Georgia. He was the son of Samuel G. and Renee Christeen Synnott Gentry. In his brief 14 years, every day was important to Wyatt -- for every day was one of new opportunities. Being a person of great creativity, he was active in the Newnan Community Theatre and Joyful Praise Choir. Music was a passion for Wyatt and he spent hours on the guitar and interpreted the influences of musicians like John Mayer, Matthew West, One Republic, Kutless and other Christian musicians. Since the age of 12, Wyatt had been a presence on the soccer fields as a referee.

In addition to his parents, Wyatt is survived by his sister, Kelsey Brooke Gentry and his brother Levi Clinton Gentry. His grandparents are James Stephen and Wanda Sue Gentry; Kenneth and Rowena Synnott. Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street where the family received friends on Saturday. Following the funeral on Sunday, burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
