Obituary
Mr. Anthony H. Beckom, age 55, of Newnan, Ga., passed away on Nov. 27, 2009. He and his wife of 19 1/2 years have been residing in Seagrove Beach, Florida, for the past three years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He loved his church and the Lord. He is predeceased by his mother, Almere Jackson; father, Henry Beckom; and stepfather, Dueral Jackson. Surviving are his wife, Tara Archer Beckom; son, Michael Beckom; daughter and son-in-law, Tyna and Robbie Faver; granddaughter, Kristyn Faver (Doodle Bug); brother, Bill Beckom; mother-in-law, Judy Archer; father-in-law, Hoke Archer and his wife, Earline; brothers-in-law and their wives, Danny and Leigh Archer, David and Val Archer; nieces, Abby Ireland and her husband, Chris, Amanda Archer, Ashley Beckom; nephews, Daniel Archer Jr., David Archer, Josh Beckom; great nieces, Kaylee Beckom, Rylee Beckom; great nephew, Nathan Brooks; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.higginshillcrestchapel.com . Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Calhoun officiating. Remains will be placed in state at the church at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Marcus Caswell, Frank Stevenson, Donnie Shelton, Gene Morris, Adam Brooks and Josh Beckom. The family will receive friends at the Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home today, Wednesday, Dec. 2, 6-8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations in memory of Anthony may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 297, Newnan, GA 30264.
