Mr. Dudley Edward Barlow

Obituary

Mr. Dudley Edward Barlow, 82, of Newnan passed away quietly at his home Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008 after a battle with cancer. He grew up in South Georgia and later moved to the Atlanta area. He will always be remembered for his love of nature, family and God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and family gatherings. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired member of the Ironworkers Local 387. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and the Forest Park Masonic Lodge # 399. He will be greatly missed.

The funeral is Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. John Riley and Rev. Searcy Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The visitation is Tuesday between 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan, Ga. 30263. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church Building Fund, 1504 Macedonia Rd, Newnan, Ga. 30263 or to VistaCare Hospice Foundation, 1585 Hwy 34 East, Newnan, GA 30265.

He is survived by wife Lataine Barlow; brother Wiley Barlow; sister Jewel Eason; daughter Gale Crock and her husband Ken; sons Ronnie Barlow and his wife Elaine, Jerry Barlow and his wife Connie; and grandchildren Dana, Jason, Brandi, and Brittney; great-grandchildren Madison, Lily, and Griffin.
